Data freshness

We aim to re-verify all prices every 90 days. If you spot an error, please contact us and we'll investigate promptly.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment from practices for placement or ranking. We don't recommend specific vets. We're not affiliated with any veterinary group.

What ownership labels mean

The UK veterinary market has seen significant consolidation in recent years, with large corporate groups acquiring many formerly independent practices. We show ownership status to help you understand who runs your local vet.

✓ Independent

The practice is independently owned and not part of a larger corporate group, based on our most recent verification.

Group practice

The practice is owned by or part of a larger corporate group. Where we know the group name (e.g. CVS Group, IVC Evidensia, Linnaeus), we show it.

Ownership not yet verified

We haven't yet been able to confirm the ownership status of this practice. This doesn't imply anything negative — we simply need more time to verify.

Always confirm with the practice

The information on CompareMyVet is provided for guidance only. Prices, availability, and other details can change. Before making any decisions about your pet's care, we strongly recommend contacting the practice directly to confirm:

  • Current consultation fees and treatment costs
  • Availability and appointment booking
  • Whether they are accepting new clients
  • Out-of-hours and emergency arrangements

CompareMyVet exists to help you start your search with more information — not to replace a direct conversation with your vet.
